ME
I am 35 years old and am the youngest of 8 children. My high-school sweetheart and I married in July 2013. We live in Blackstone with our daughter, Maci and two fur-babies. I enjoy being outdoors, whether it is sitting around a fire with family, pulling the weeds in the garden, going on nature walks, playing tennis, or visiting the beach. Living in New England for my entire life, I enjoy all of the seasons and find beauty in each. While I prefer to be outside in the warmer weather, the kid in me truly comes out in winter as well. Believe it or not, I have NEVER been skiing and am determined to give it a go one of these winters.

EDUCATION
I was graduated from Framingham State College in May of 2009. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree with a specialization in Language Arts. Each of the courses I completed at FSC helped prepare me for becoming an elementary teacher. I completed my Master's of Elementary Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instructional Technology at Framingham State University in 2014. With a love of learning, I am always thinking of the next classes I will pursue. I feel very fortunate to be able to attend many conferences and seminars throughout the year as well. My favorite is MassCUE, which is held at Gillette stadium each fall.

TEACHING
You know what they say, time flies when you're having fun! I can hardly believe that I am beginning my FOURTEENTH year of teaching, with NINE of those teaching in the tech lab at Memorial School! I started my career at Clough, in Mendon, as a third grade teacher after finishing my student teaching there the previous school year. I can honestly say that I learned from the best. I taught with an amazing team while I was there.
With the unfortunate budget cuts, I had to find a new teaching position. To my luck, I was hired as a fifth grade teacher at the Julia Bancroft Elementary School in Auburn. I really loved the students and families there, but knew my home was in the MURSD. I was fortunate enough to become a fourth grade teacher at Memorial for my third year. It was a lot of change but truly prepared me for the classroom I have today! After three years teaching fourth grade, I found myself in the best classroom yet: the technology lab! Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE teaching for the Mendon-Upton Regional School District. It's such a wonderful community!
